What Is Endolaze?
Endolaze is a diode laser that combines 980 nm and 1470 nm wavelengths for treatment of various medical disorders and concerns.
What Can Endolaze Be Used For?
This 980 nm and 1470 nm diode laser can be used to treat so many disorders across different medical specialties, however, at Skin101, we use Endolaze for the following
- vascular lesions such as varicose veins, spider veins, telangiectasia, cherry hemangioma, Hemorrhoid (pile), etc.
- onychomycosis (nail fungus)
- Laser lipolysis (laser fat removal procedure)
How Is Endolaze Different From Other Treatment Options?
For Spider Veins, the laser is able to stimulate dermal collagen growth while the vascular treatment increases epidermal thickness and density, so that the tiny blood vessels are no longer visible and at the same time, the skin’s elasticity is also significantly enhanced.
For Onychomycosis treatment, when compared to traditional methods, the effects of the laser light is spread evenly throughout the affected tissue. The laser energy is also not subject to either the limits of chemical diffusion as in use of topical products or the induction of hepatoxic side effects as with oral medications.
For laser lipolysis, this diode laser has advantages over the traditional liposuction such as shorter recovery time, milder trauma to the body, decreased blood loss, as well as less pain, bruising, and post-procedure swelling. The added benefit of retraction of the skin and improvement in skin elasticity to achieve skin tightening effect has also made this laser lipolysis procedure a sought-after alternative for fat removal from different parts of the body.
For Laser hemorrhoidoplasty (LHP), the controlled emission of laser energy which is applied submucosally causes the hemorrhoidal mass to shrink. In addition, fibrotic reconstruction generates new connective tissue which ensures that the mucosa adheres to the underlying tissue. This also prevents the occurrence or recurrence of a prolapse. Healing is excellent because, unlike conventional surgeries, there are no incisions or stitches. Access into the hemorrhoid is achieved by entering through a small perianal port, however, stage IV hemorrhoids may require outer skin excision with laser.
What Is The Recovery Time For Treatments Done With Endolaze?
Downtime and recovery time vary per procedure, however, all procedures are don on outpatient basis, meaning you can go home on same day. During your consultation, specific information regarding your treatment will be discussed including recovery time
