wide brimm hats to prevent sunburn

Here, most people would refer to this skin condition as sunburn but in the real sense, it is not. It is called Melasma as the black skin does not burn. It can only tan! Aren’t we just lucky? So, have you been saying you have sunburn? You may want to change that. These patches though commonly found on the face  can also show up on the neck and arms.

First, we wanted  to get you to understand the condition and we did. Now let’s talk about the reason why you find these patches on your skin.

Causes of Melasma

There are a number of reasons responsible. Some of which include; pregnancy and the use of birth control pills. However, in most people, it  happens as result of over exposure to the sun. The condition can also worsen when products that irritate the skin are used by the individual. The sun produces several kinds of rays that affect the skin in different ways, and in addition to Melasma, it can also cause dark spots, premature aging etc.

In addition to physical effects, this skin condition can also affect a lady psychologically, being that our facial look  and  skin game being at a 100% means a lot to us. You can imagine how it could turn out when anything seems to frustrate this effort.

Trying different remedies continuously, exposed a lot of ladies to different ways of coping and living with Melasma. For some, it is using large amounts of make up to cover these patches. Some others would prefer covering up with veils and using shades but how effective can these options be? Not so effective because it does not fully protect from harmful rays of the sun and in no time, they could come crawling back.

There are a number of treatment options available in treating Melasma and they are prescribed only after the doctor examines your skin. You can book for a doctor’s consultation here.

One of the best options remains protecting yourself from these sun rays. Why should you have to bother about treatment options when you can protect yourself early enough. Prevention still and will always remain better than cure.

Below are a number of simple yet effective ways of preventing Melasma. You just need to adjust  a few behaviors and there you go….Melasma Free.

It will save you a lot of stress especially if your skin is prone to Melasma.
